Resetting Microsoft Account Password
If you have forgotten your Microsoft account password, follow these steps to reset it:
- Go to the Microsoft account password reset page.
- Enter the email address or phone number associated with your Microsoft account.
- Enter the characters you see on the screen and click "Next."
- Choose how you want to receive your security code (email or phone) and click "Next."
- Enter the security code you received and click "Next."
- Enter your new password and click "Next".

Changing MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication)
If you need to change your multi-factor authentication, follow these steps:
- Go to the Security basics page and sign in with your Microsoft account.
- Select "Add sign-in method"
- Select "Choose a method" and then "Authenticator app".
- Follow the prompts to turn off two-step verification.
Follow the on-screen instructions, including using your mobile device to scan the QR code, and then select Next. You'll be asked to approve a notification through the Microsoft Authenticator app, to verify your information.
